A different way of seeing children
When a child melts down at the grocery store, refuses to wear socks, can't sit still during lessons, or shuts down when there's too much noise — most adults see problem behavior. I see a nervous system communicating.
That's the lens I bring to every child I work with. Behavior is always meaningful. Dysregulation is not defiance. And every child — no matter how challenging things seem right now — has an enormous capacity to grow when they feel understood and supported.
Regulation and behavior are deeply intertwined. A child who can't regulate can't consistently behave — and pushing behavior without building regulation is like asking a child to run on a broken leg. My work addresses both together: building the nervous system's capacity to regulate while helping families understand what behavior is really communicating.
Background & Training
I'm a licensed occupational therapist in the state of Florida with a Master's in Health Science, and I have a particular focus on pediatric sensory integration. My clinical training has given me a thorough grounding in how the nervous system develops — and how to support it when development takes a different path.
My work spans a broad range of children's needs: sensory processing differences, autism spectrum, ADHD, developmental coordination disorder, feeding difficulties, and more. What ties all of these together is the sensory system — and understanding it is the key that unlocks so much of what feels "stuck."
A note on credentials: I hold a Florida OT license and NPI. I'm actively pursuing sensory integration certifications and will share those credentials here as they're earned. If you have specific questions about my training, please reach out — I'm happy to talk through whether I'm the right fit for your child.
Why sensory integration?
Most people think of OT as helping children learn to hold a pencil or button their shirt. That's part of it — but it's downstream of something deeper. A child who can't modulate sensory input will struggle to sit at a desk, follow instructions, manage emotions, and engage with peers — long before the pencil becomes relevant.
Sensory integration therapy gets to the root. I work on the nervous system's ability to receive, organize, and respond to sensory input — and when that foundation is solid, everything else gets easier. Attention improves. Emotions regulate. Skills build. Independence emerges.
It's not magic. It's neuroscience — applied playfully, patiently, and in deep partnership with families.
Homeschool families: a special calling
Supporting homeschool families is close to my heart. As a homeschool parent myself, I know how much energy it takes to be both parent and teacher — and how much harder it gets when your child's nervous system needs more than a standard curriculum can offer.
What that looks like in practice is different for every family. Some children need weekly sessions with hands-on sensory work. Others benefit most from a shorter, focused intensive followed by a home program parents can carry forward on their own. Many families want a coach as much as a therapist — someone to help them read what their child's behavior is really saying and adjust the day accordingly. I meet families where they are.
The Homeschool OT series goes into practical strategies for building a sensory-supportive learning environment. If you're already homeschooling — or considering it because traditional school hasn't been the right fit — start there and reach out with the specifics.
My approach
Every session is child-led. That doesn't mean unstructured — it means I meet your child where they are, build trust and momentum through activities they're genuinely engaged in, and layer in therapeutic goals so skillfully that children often don't realize they're "working."
Play is the medium. Progress is the point. Joy is the signal that it's working.

I believe every family deserves access to quality therapy, regardless of insurance status, and I'll share updates here as those credentials are finalized.
